Emergent Village
Objective
Our goal Emergent Village needs to build a web site consistent with the organizations core values and growing influence in the American religious landscape. Using Textpattern, we made it easy for users to find, use, share and mash-up Emergent Village content.
Features
- Centralized all web properties: static content, weblog and podcast under one domain
- Comments added to all sections of the site with special attention paid to the weblog and podcast
- Google map of Emergent Cohorts (small grass-roots groups scattered around North America)
- Aggregating and publishing non-hosted cohort RSS feeds
- Podcast powered by Libsyn and integrated with web site
- Integrated with Google Calendar for event listings
- New site uses valid, semantic mark up for accessibility and search engine optimization
- Tracks and measures site performance using Google Analytics and CrazyEgg
